On 15 November 2025, Institute of Hotel Management (IHM) Taratala Kolkata collaborated with EICA as their Administrative Partner to organise The Eastern India Culinary Association (EICA) Food Culture Event held at Udayachal Tourism Property on the occassion of the completion of one year of EICA.
The Chief Guest of the event was Smt Nandini Chakravorty, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary, Home & Hill Affairs Department with Additional Chief Secretary, Parliamentary Affairs Department and Additional Chief Secretary, Tourism Department Government of West Bengal along with Guests of Honour Mr. Sagar Daryani, CEO, Wow! Momo and Mr. Raja Sadhukhan, Principal, Institute of Hotel Management (IHM) Taratala Kolkata.
The programmee included the who’s who of the culinary world including several prominent names like Chef Parvinder Singh Bali, Director SEP , Chef Abhiru Biswas, President EICA, Chef Seetharam Prasad, General Secretary SICA, Chef Vijaya Bhaskaran, General Secretary IFCA, Chef Sandeep Pandey, General Secretary EICA to name a few.
The event was further organised and executed by a team of Faculty Members and students of Institute of Hotel Management (IHM) Taratala Kolkata.
The event saw felicitation of Smt. Nandini Chakravorty by Professor Raja Sadhukhan and Mr. Sagar Daryani who were further invited to share their insights on EICA, post which the association launched their new book in presence of the esteemed guests.
Mr. Raja Sadhukhan was further invited to participate in their fruit mixing ceremony held at the event. Chef Abhiru Biswas, president EICA thanked all the team members of IHM Taratala Kolkata for their efforts.
Principal Mr. Raja Sadhukhan thanked all for their efforts and for a well executed event. Institute of Hotel Management (IHM), Taratala Kolkata is under the ministry of Tourism of Government of India.
