Surrounded by huge walls like a fort, this monastery has a room made of huge rock blocks which was used for the residence and study of teachers and students.The carvings and workmanship on the walls of this fort are the finest examples of Hindu architecture.

This temple is actually dedicated to Lord Shiva, and faces west.
