The Taj Public Service Welfare Trust (TPSWT), established in December 2008 after the Mumbai terror attacks, completes 17 years of steadfast humanitarian service this year. Since its inception the Trust has remained committed to supporting survivors and families impacted by both man-made tragedies and natural calamities, while also advancing the welfare of injured and differently-abled members of the armed forces.

Mr. Puneet Chhatwal, Managing Director & CEO, IHCL, said, “For 17 years, the Taj Public Service Welfare Trust has extended unwavering support for relief and rehabilitation efforts nationwide. On this solemn day, we renew our commitment to serve with compassion and responsibility.”

He added, “Inspired by the resilience of those affected and the courage of those who stood by them, the Trust continues its mission to support impacted communities and help rebuild lives with dignity.”

Through a comprehensive set of relief programmes, the Taj Public Service Welfare Trust’s initiatives encompass monthly sustenance support, pensions, skill development, micro-enterprise grants, medical support and educational assistance for children of affected families. During COVID-19, Trust played a pivotal role in providing nutritious meals to migrant workers and COVID warriors as well as medical equipment and supplies.
