A review meeting regarding the ongoing development project of Shri Khatu Shyam Ji Corridor (Sikar) under Swadesh Darshan 2.0 was held on Tuesday at the Tourism Bhawan, Jaipur, under the chairmanship of Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari. The meeting was attended by Principal Secretary Rajesh YadavAdditional District Collector (Sikar), officials from PWD, RSRDC, PD CoreSDM DantaramgarhExecutive Officer of Shri Khatu Shyam Ji Municipality, members of the Temple Committee, and local public representatives.

Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari stated that Shri Khatu Shyam Ji, being Rajasthan’s most visited religious destination, is a matter of both pride and responsibility. The Rajasthan Government and the Government of India are jointly committed to ensuring that the pilgrimage experience in Shri Khatu Shyam Ji is smooth, grand, modern, and memorable for all visitors.

She informed that under the Swadesh Darshan 2.0 initiative of the Government of India, a review was conducted on the tourism department’s ongoing development works in Shri Khatu Shyam Ji. The discussions covered traffic management, encroachment issues, parking challenges, and facilities for devotees.

The Deputy Chief Minister emphasized that development works would be more impactful and sustainable if carried out by incorporating the suggestions of devotees, local residents, stakeholders, and elected representatives. To address issues such as road connectivity, development of tourist facilities, traffic flow, parking, and encroachments at entry and exit points, a committee of stakeholders and representatives has been formed to provide detailed suggestions.

She further added that based on the recommendations of this committee, development works will be planned keeping in mind the convenience of devotees. If required, the Rajasthan Government may allocate funds for these works in the upcoming state budget.
