
*Two-Day National Tourism Conference Begins Tuesday
*Tourism Ministers from Over Two Dozen States Arrive in Udaipur

The lake city of Udaipur — world-renowned for its natural beauty and scenic charm — will host a two-day National Tourism Conference under the aegis of the Ministry of Tourism, beginning Tuesday at Hotel Marriott.
The conference will see participation from Union Tourism Minister Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Minister of State for Tourism Shri Suresh Gopi, Deputy Chief Minister of Rajasthan Smt. Diya Kumari, as well as Lieutenant Governors of Union Territories and Tourism Ministers from various states.

Under the direction of District Collector Namit Mehta, all preparations for the national conference have been completed. Tourism ministers and senior officials from over two dozen states had arrived in Udaipur by late Monday evening.
Deliberations on Tourism Development:
The inaugural session of the two-day conference will begin Tuesday at 10 AM. Secretary of the Ministry of Tourism V. Vidyavathi will welcome all delegates and present the program overview. The inaugural session will also feature guidance from Minister Shri Shekhawat and Minister of State Shri Gopi.

Following this, different states will deliver presentations on their tourism development initiatives across multiple sessions:
- First Session: Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Chandigarh, Haryana, and Uttarakhand
- Second Session: Uttar Pradesh, NCT of Delhi, and Rajasthan
- Third Session: Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Puducherry, and Lakshadweep
- Fourth Session: Gujarat and Maharashtra
On the second day, states and Union Territories from the Western and Central regions — including Goa, Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu, Chhattisgarh, and Madhya Pradesh — will share their experiences.
States and Union Territories from the Eastern and North-Eastern regions — Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Odisha, Arunachal Pradesh, and Assam — will present next. The post-lunch session will include presentations by Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura, and Sikkim.

Later in the evening, a consultation meeting with all States and UTs will be held to discuss draft guidelines for the Integrated Tourism Promotion Scheme, aimed at positioning India as a comprehensive destination in domestic and international tourism markets.
Officials will also discuss the Summit on Sustainable Tourism Development.
The closing session of the program will take place on Wednesday evening at 5:30 PM.
Meeting of Liaison Officers:
In preparation for the National Tourism Conference, a meeting of liaison officers was held Monday morning in the Collectorate auditorium under the direction of the District Collector.
ADM City Jitendra Ojha discussed in detail the arrangements for the arrival, welcome, accommodation, transportation, and movement of Lieutenant Governors of Union Territories, Central Ministers, and Tourism Ministers from various states to the venue.
He assigned responsibilities to concerned officers and instructed them to ensure that all arrangements are completed timely and in an organized manner. Ojha emphasized that this event is an opportunity to showcase Udaipur’s tourism, culture, and hospitality traditions at the national level, and therefore, every arrangement should be of the highest standard.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Director of Tourism Shikha Saxena and all liaison officers.
