The Department of Tourism, Government of Uttar Pradesh, is all set to participate in the prestigious International & French Travel Market (IFTM) Top Resa 2025, one of Europe’s leading B2B travel and tourism trade shows. Scheduled to be held from September 23 to 25, 2025, at the Porte de Versailles Exhibition Center, Paris, the event will bring together global tourism boards, destination management companies, airlines, hospitality brands, and travel operators, offering a valuable platform for Uttar Pradesh to strengthen its global outreach and tourism partnerships.
France continues to be one of India’s most important inbound markets, with more than 300,000 French tourists visiting India in 2023, contributing an estimated Rs. 1,800 crore to the national economy. These travellers are predominantly high-value, long-stay visitors with a strong interest in spirituality, wellness, heritage, and cultural experiences, aligning perfectly with Uttar Pradesh’s tourism offerings. As France prepares to host global events like the Paris 2024 Olympics, and international travel from Europe experiences a strong post-pandemic revival, IFTM Top Resa 2025 presents a timely and strategic opportunity for Uttar Pradesh to tap into the European travel market.
Participation at IFTM Top Resa provides multiple benefits for Uttar Pradesh Tourism. It offers direct access to travel trade buyers, tour operators, and industry professionals from across Europe, enables knowledge exchange on emerging global trends, facilitates B2B meetings with potential collaborators, enhances global media visibility; and creates avenues to promote the state’s cultural identity and investment potential on an international stage.
Uttar Pradesh’s participation in IFTM 2025 will focus on deepening tourism exchanges, expanding destination visibility, and attracting international investments into the state’s growing tourism sector. The delegation will showcase Uttar Pradesh’s diverse tourism portfolio, including heritage circuits, religious tourism, spiritual retreats, eco-tourism, rural experiences, and luxury travel offerings. In particular, the state aims to position itself as a premier destination for spiritual and wellness-based travel, an area that is seeing rising global demand, especially from health-conscious European audiences.
To create an engaging visitor environment, the UP Tourism pavilion will include a VVIP lounge in the open lobby area. A dynamic digital experience will be featured through a large LED wall screen, an auto-navigation touchscreen display presenting the iconic tourism destinations of Uttar Pradesh, and an Augmented Reality (AR)-based interactive Selfie Panel that will allow visitors to take selfies against picturesque digital backdrops of the state.
One of the key components of the UP Tourism showcase at IFTM will be targeted storytelling and promotional content tailored to resonate with French and broader European sensibilities. The messaging will emphasize the state’s rich tangible and intangible heritage, experiences like Ayurvedic and wellness retreats, cultural festivals, traditional crafts, local cuisine, and village-based eco-tourism. To create an immersive cultural experience, UP Tourism will present live dance performances throughout the event, featuring Raas Leela, Tribal dances of Uttar Pradesh, and the classical Kathak dance form. A unique “Selfie with the Performer” zone will allow visitors to engage interactively and share their cultural encounters on social platforms.
Another major highlight of the UP pavilion at IFTM 2025 will be the promotion of the state’s investment-friendly tourism policy and its readiness for Public-Private Partnership (PPP) models. The Department will showcase opportunities for the adaptive reuse of historic forts, havelis, and spiritual sites, development of boutique hotels, eco-resorts, and Ayurveda-based wellness centers. Visitors and potential investors will be introduced to Uttar Pradesh’s progressive tourism policy, which offers capital subsidies, streamlined land allotment, and single-window clearance mechanisms, making it one of the most attractive Indian states for tourism-linked investments.
Through diplomatic dialogue and structured business meetings, the UP Tourism delegation will also explore avenues for collaborative projects, co-branding opportunities, and cross-cultural exchange programs with European stakeholders. The department’s presence at IFTM Top Resa is a part of its broader strategy to position Uttar Pradesh not just as a destination, but as a complete experience rooted in heritage, hospitality, healing, and harmony.
Speaking about the upcoming participation, Hon’ble Minister of Tourism and Culture, Uttar Pradesh, Shri Jaiveer Singh, stated, “Participation in IFTM Top Resa 2025 is a strategic move towards showcasing Uttar Pradesh’s unmatched spiritual and cultural richness to the global travel community. France and Europe are key markets for us, not only for inbound tourism but also for long-term tourism investments. Under the dynamic leadership of our Hon’ble Chief Minister, we are working to transform Uttar Pradesh into a globally recognized tourism powerhouse, offering world-class experiences rooted in Indian heritage.”
