Indian Hotels Company (IHCL), India’s largest hospitality company, today announced the signing of a Taj hotel in Mohali, Punjab. This is a greenfield project.

Ms. Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President – Real Estate & Development, IHCL said, “Mohali’s emergence as a thriving IT and commercial centre is a key growth market in Punjab. This, coupled with the state’s increasing appeal as a preferred destination for weddings and social events, aligns with our strategy to expand in such high-potential markets.”

The 225-key Taj Mohali will offer uninterrupted views of the surrounding greenery. The hotel will feature an all-day dining restaurant, a bar, and a specialty restaurant, providing a range of culinary options. Leisure and wellness facilities will include a swimming pool, a gym, a health club, and Taj’s signature J Wellness Circle. With a banqueting space of over 26,000 sq. ft., the hotel will offer the largest event venue in the region, ideal for weddings, corporate functions and social gatherings.
Mohali, a planned city in Punjab is known for its modern infrastructure and is home to several IT companies, educational institutions and sports facilities.

With the addition of this hotel, IHCL will have 14 hotels in Punjab, including 7 under development.
