Additional Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel has been strategically deployed at platforms, foot-over bridges, and critical railway stations to manage crowds and prevent stampede-like situations. The presence of uniformed personnel will be heightened, with officers ensuring proper crowd regulation. Stations such as Howrah, Sealdah, Kolkata Terminal, Asansol, Bhagalpur, Malda Town and others, where heavy footfall is expected during the festivals, will receive special attention. Close coordination with Government Railway Police (GRP) and local law enforcement agencies will ensure smooth operations and safety at these key locations. RPF personnel will be deployed to escort special trains, ensuring the security of passengers, particularly women and children traveling late at night. CCTV cameras installed at railway stations will be monitored continuously by trained staff.
