To cater to the rush of pilgrims during Shravani Mela at Baidyanath Dham, Deoghar, the famous Lord Shiva shrine & among the 12 Jyotirlingas of India, Eastern Railway has made elaborate arrangements for the comfort of devotees arriving at Jasidih/Deoghar.
As per instructions of Mr. Amar Prakash Dwivedi, General Manager, Eastern Railway, Mr. Permanand Sharma, Divisional Railway Manager of Asansol Division has sensitized all the divisional officers of Asansol Division for camping at Jasidih/Deoghar to maintain the special arrangements for the devotees arriving there through Railway route for ‘Jalabhishek’ of Lord Shiva at Baidyanath Dham temple.
The special arrangements at Jasidih/Baidyanath Dham is made by Eastern Railway includes additional booking windows, shelters for the pilgrims, medical assistance booth, May I Help You booth, special security arrangements, round-the-clock CCTV monitoring, ambulance facility, drinking water facility, dedicated entry & exit gate etc.
A couple of Shravani Mela special trains to Jasidih or passing through Jasidih have been arranged during the Shravani Mela period to cater to the rush of pilgrims viz. Asansol – Patna Shravani Mela special, Jasidih – Baidyanath Dham MEMU special, Mokama – Jasidih Shravani Mela special, Gaya – Jasidih Special, Gorakhpur – Deoghar special etc. Various long distance trains have also been provided with additional stoppage at Jasidih during the Mela period.
