Running special trains during the festive season carries multiple advantages. These services not only accommodate the sharp rise in festive travel demand but also ensure passengers get easier, faster and more reliable journey options. Beyond travel convenience, such initiatives encourage tourism, uplift local trade and strengthen the spirit of togetherness during major festivals like Diwali and Chhath. In order to handle the anticipated festive crowd, Railway has decided to run special trains between Bhagalpur &Udhna (Unreserved) and Asansol &Barhni.
09081 Udhna – Bhagalpur Unreserved Special will leave Udhna at 11:15 hrs. daily from 14.10.2025 to 27.10.2025 (14 trips) to reach Bhagalpur at 20:00 hrs. on the next day and 09082 Bhagalpur – Udhna Unreserved Special will leave Bhagalpur at 22:50 hrs. daily from 15.10.2025 to 28.10.2025 (14 trips) to reach Udhna at 09:00 hrs. on the third day. The train will stop at 23 stations including Sultanganj, Jamalpur and Abhaipur stations over Eastern Railway jurisdiction enroute in both directions.
05056 Barhni – Asansol Special will leave Barhni at 16:00 hrs. on every Friday between 17.10.2025 & 7.11.2025 (4 trips) to reach Asansol at 09:30 hrs. on the next day and 05055 Asansol – Barhni Special will leave Asansol at 12:30 hrs. on every Saturday between 18.10.2025 & 8.11.2025 (4 trips) to reach Barhni at 07:15 hrs. on the next day. The train will stop at 23 stations including Chittaranjan, Madhupur &Jasidih stations over Eastern Railway jurisdiction enroute in both directions. The train will have general second class & sleeper class accommodations.
