RAILWAYS : EASTERN RAILWAY TO RUN SPECIAL TRAIN BETWEEN SEALDAH & NEW JALPAIGURI

Running special trains during weekend holidays and Independence Day holds significant benefits. The special trains cater to increased travel demand, offering more convenient and efficient transportation options for people wanting to celebrate. They help reduce congestion on regular trains, ensuring smoother travel experience. Additionally, these initiatives promote tourism, boost local economy and contribute to a sense of national unity and celebration during occasion like Independence day. Keeping in the view to clear extra rush of passengers, Eastern Railway has decided to run one special train between Sealdah & New Jalpaiguri.

03103 Sealdah – New Jalpaiguri Express Special will leave Sealdah at 23:40 hrs. on 11.08.2023 (Friday) to reach New Jalpaiguri at 10:45 hrs. on the next day and 03104 New Jalpaiguri –Sealdah Express Special will leave New Jalpaiguri at 12:15 hrs. on 12.08.2023 (Saturday) to reach Sealdah at 23:50 hrs. on the same day. The special train will have Air-conditioned accommodation.

The train will stop at Naihati, Bandel, Katwa, Azimganj, Jangipur Road & Malda Town stations over Eastern Railway jurisdiction in both directions.

The booking of Sealdah – New Jalpaiguri Express special will be available through PRS and internet on and from 10.08.2023. In addition to Mail/Express fare, Special charge will be realised. Tatkal booking will not be allowed. Concessional booking will not be allowed.
