RAILWAYS : REGULATION OF TRAINS FROM 18.08.2023 TO 06.09.2023 FOR 3rd LINE COMMISSIONING WORK BETWEEN RAMPURHAT & CHATRA

KOLKATA, 17 AUGUST 2023:

The commissioning of a 3rd Line in railways provides a wide range of benefits, from increase capacity and reliability to economy growth and environmental sustainability. For bringing more operational flexibility, works related to 3rd line commissioning will continue between Rampurhat & Chatra from 18.8.2023. In connection with this 3rd line commissioning, pre non-interlocking / non-interlocking work will continue at Rampurhat, Swadinpur, Nalhati and Chatra station over Rampurhat – Sahibganj section from *18.8.2023 to 06.09.2023*.

Consequently, train services will be regulated from *18.08.2023 to 06.09.2023* as under:

• 10 Pairs of Mail Express Trains will remain cancelled on different dates between 18.08.2023 & 06.09.2023.
• 18 up and 14 down Mail/Express trains will be diverted via Bandel – Katwa – Azimganj with provision of additional stoppages on different dates between 18.08.2023 & 06.09.2023.
• 15 passenger trains from Rampurhat, 04 passenger trains from Barddhaman, 05 passenger trains from Azimganj, 02 passenger trains from Sahibganj & 01 passgenger train each from Barharwa, Katwa, Andal & Howrah will remain cancelled from 18.08.2023 to 06.09.2023.

Moreover, service of 01 passenger train will be extended, 01 pair passenger train will be short terminated/short originated & 01 passenger train will be rescheduled from 18.08.2023 to 06.09.2023.

*RUNNING OF SHUTTLE EMU LOCALS FOR THE CONVENIENCE OF THE PASSENGERS:*

• One pair of passenger special train will run between Azimganj & Rampurhat leaving Azimganj at 05:55 hrs. & leaving Rampurhat at 09:00 hrs.
• Two pairs of special trains will run between Azimganj & Takipur leaving Azimganj at 09:20 hrs. & 16:45 hrs. and leaving Takipur at 10:45 hrs. & 18:00 hrs.
• 4 pairs of special trains will run between Barddhaman & Tarapith Road stations. Barddhaman – Tarapith Road special train will leave Barddhaman at 9.10 hrs., 14.35 hrs., 16.45 hrs. , 18:30 hrs. & Tarapith Road – Barddhaman special train will leave Tarapith Road station at 11.40 hrs., 17.20 hrs., 19.10 hrs., 21:00 hrs.
• All UP & Down special tourism trains passing through Rampurhat-Gumani will be diverted via Azimganj- Bandel-Katwa.
