Sun Siyam Iru Veli, part of the Privé Collection within the House of Sun Siyam, has expanded its wellness programme at Ocean Spa, offering a range of treatments that combine Maldivian traditions, established healing practices, and tailored spa experiences. The spa provides options such as Haveeru Harmony – The Iruveli Ritual, a signature couple’s experience inspired by island twilight; Nirvana, an Ayurvedic therapy integrating Abhyanga and Shirodhara techniques; and the Hiyala Head & Scalp Massage, based on local coconut oil rituals. Each treatment is designed to support relaxation, restore balance, and reflect the resort’s holistic approach to wellbeing.
Haveeru Harmony – The Iruveli Ritual is a 150-minute couple’s treatment scheduled to coincide with the island’s evening calm. It incorporates elements of a full spa journey, including exfoliation, massage, and hydrotherapy, and is offered as a private experience for couples, with only one session available per day.
The Nirvana treatment, lasting 90 minutes, draws on Ayurvedic principles to promote full-body balance and mental clarity. Warm herbal oils are applied to aid circulation, ease tension, and support a sense of equilibrium, reflecting the spa’s focus on holistic wellness.
The Hiyala Head & Scalp Massage is a 50-minute treatment inspired by traditional Maldivian practices. Using locally prepared coconut oil, the treatment nourishes the scalp, strengthens hair, and offers protection against sun and saltwater exposure. Guests can also engage with the coconut oil-making process as part of the resort’s Maldivian Roots experiences, connecting the therapy to its cultural origins.
Through these offerings, Ocean Spa at Sun Siyam Iru Veli continues to integrate global wellness techniques with local knowledge, providing treatments that are restorative and culturally grounded.
