Mayfair Spring Valley Resort has launched Chatpata Chowk, a Mumbai street food festival running from 13th to 25th August 2025 at its scenic hilltop property in Sonapur, near Guwahati, Assam. The festival brings the different flavors of Mumbai to Assam, with authentic street-style dishes, curated menus, and lively thematic decor. Guests can enjoy the experience daily from 12:00 PM to 11:00 PM, with special brunches on 15–17 and 23–24 August from 12:30 PM to 4:30 PM.
As India’s culinary scene increasingly embraces regional street food, Chatpata Chowk offers a timely celebration of Mumbai’s best-loved snacks. Signature dishes such as vada pav, pav bhaji, and masala chai are prepared to capture the genuine taste of Mumbai’s bustling food lanes. The resort’s tranquil Sonapur setting provides a unique contrast, pairing the energy of a city food trail with the calm of a hilltop escape.
“With Chatpata Chowk, we wanted to go beyond just serving food. We wanted to bring the atmosphere and energy of Mumbai’s street food culture to Guwahati. It’s about flavor, community, and the joy of sharing a meal in a lively, welcoming environment, all while enjoying the serenity of our hilltop retreat,” Samiran Das, DGM- Operations, Mayfair Spring Valley Resort Guwahati.
The weekend brunches are priced at Rs. 1,947++ and include a 10% discount. Guests can also choose from the à la carte menu, available daily from 12:00 PM to 11:00 PM.
