The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) and Royal Thai Consulate in Kolkata is jointly organizing Amazing Thailand Festival 2023 at South City Mall in Kolkata on 12 to 14 May, announced Royal Thai Consulate General in Kolkata, Ms. Acharapan Yavaprapas.
She was speaking as the chief guest Dusit Hotels and Resorts, India Showcase 2023 at the Ballroom in Oberoi Grand Hotel in Kolkata and has informed that the Amazing Thailand Festival will be full of fun, food, culture, fashion show , workshop and many more attractions.
“ We have already received the award of best tourist friendly country in March this year and Phuket also has bagged the best wedding destinations award. We focus on five ‘F’s, she added. About one million people have visited Thailand last year and the TAT has celebrated at a function in New Delhi this year, she said.
She further added that the target this year is about one million tourists from India. Eastern India and Kolkata have been an important resource market for Thailand, she added.
The Thai Consulate General further added that the iconic triangular Dusit Hotel building in Bangkok was a symbol of Thai Hospitality since the past may decades.
Dusit Hotels and Resorts have already 50 properties spread over 13 countries and one new property is coming up in Kolkata by next year, she added.
Mr. Nichlas John Maratos, Vice President, Commercial of Dusit Resorts and Hotels said that the first India Showcase took place at Kolkata today and the next two will be held at Delhi and Mumbai.
About 70 years ago tourists have saw the birth of modern day Thai hospitality at the centre of Bangkok. Besides undergoing renovation it will be reopening in a new avatar next year, he added.
Dusit loves Indian travelers and Indian travelers also receive the high quality service from the Dusit Hotels and Resorts.
With significant growth over the next few years Dusit Hotels plans more than doubling the current inventory with India as a focus market .
