India International School, Asansol proudly inaugurated its brand-new Rifle and Pistol Shooting Range on 2 nd April, 2025, marking a significant step in promoting marksmanship and shooting sports amongst its learners. The facility was formally inaugurated by Shri V. K. Dhall, President of West Bengal Rifle Association, alongside the Director, Shri A. K. Sharma, Vice President, Smt. Radha Sharma, Principal, Mrs. Sharmistha Chanda Paul, other esteemed dignitaries, Shooting Professionals, Youngest National Shooting Champion, Abhinav Shaw and Sports enthusiasts.
Designed to meet international standard, the new shooting range is equipped with advanced target systems, safety measures and professional coaching facilities. The event witnessed live demonstration, interactive sessions and open house for enthusiasts.
With this launch, IIS reaffirms its commitment to sports excellence, safety and discipline, ensuring that shooting sports gain prominence and accessibility.
Inauguration Ceremony of Swimming Pool:
To promote health and wellness, India International School, Asansol inaugurated its newly constructed Swimming Pool on 3 rd April, 2025. The highly anticipated event is a testament to a commitment to well-being, skill development and social interaction, offering a space for both learning and leisure.
The Inauguration Ceremony was graced by Smt. Radha Sharma, the Vice President, School Trust as the Chief Guest, Shri A. K. Sharma, the Director, Mrs. Sharmistha Chanda Paul, the Principal, faculty members and students.
The formal inauguration took place with a ribbon cutting ceremony performed by the tiny tots, followed by lamp lighting and a tour of the new facility. The event came to an end with the distribution of sweets.
