Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, Bhubaneswar Office organized an educational tour under the “Dekho Apna Desh” initiative on 24th June 2025 for the Yuva Tourism Club students of Jageshwari Vidyapith, Orei and Dasabatia Government High School, Konark in Odisha.
The visit was conducted at the Regional Museum of Natural History, Bhubaneswar, and witnessed the participation of 100 students.
The objective of the tour was to promote awareness about India’s natural heritage and biodiversity among school students, while also encouraging interest in domestic tourism through experiential learning. During the visit, students explored the museum’s galleries, which showcased a rich collection of exhibits related to ecology, flora and fauna, wildlife conservation, and geology.
“The tour effectively contributed to the goals of the Dekho Apna Desh campaign by fostering curiosity, environmental awareness, and a sense of national pride among young mind. The event was successfully coordinated with active participation from Yuva Tourism Club Coordinator and students,” said Mr. Pranav Prakash, Deputy Director General (DDG) of Ministry of Tourism and Regional Director ( East).
