Uttar Pradesh Tourism made a strong impact at the Travel and Tourism Fair (TTF) 2025 held at Biswa Bangla Mela Grounds in Kolkata, drawing huge crowds to its pavilion and generating enthusiastic interest in the state’s religious, cultural, adventure, and eco-tourism offerings. The department’s efforts were recognized with the prestigious Excellence Award, presented by Fairfest Media Chairman and CEO Sanjiv Agarwal during the closing ceremony of the three-day mega event (July 10–12).

Uttar Pradesh Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh, sharing the update, said this year’s TTF had a strong business-to-business (B2B) focus and offered valuable opportunities for tourism stakeholders. He emphasized that UP’s active participation helped open new avenues for collaboration, and he urged tour operators and travel agents to include Uttar Pradesh in their packages. The UP pavilion showcased key destinations such as Ayodhya, Kashi, Mathura-Vrindavan, Chitrakoot, Naimisharanya, Bareilly, and more highlighting the state’s deep spiritual and cultural heritage.

Along with religious tourism, UP Tourism also promoted eco-tourism, heritage tourism, state festivals, wildlife sanctuaries, bird sanctuaries, 12 mega tourist circuits, and initiatives like wellness tourism, farm stays, hotels, resorts, and river cruises. The government’s efforts to position UP as a holistic tourism destination were clearly reflected in the public response and industry engagement at the event. Visitors from across India and abroad explored the diversity of experiences UP has to offer.

More than 500 exhibitors participated in TTF 2025, representing over 25 Indian states and 14 countries. The event attracted over 5,500 trade buyers from regions including Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Bihar, Odisha, Jharkhand, Uttarakhand, and Northeast India. A series of programs were organized at the fair, including Destination Updates, Quizzes, and a special panel discussion on the economic potential of adventure and sports tourism. Experts highlighted how activities like trekking, river rafting, and mountaineering are driving growth and creating employment opportunities for youth.

Minister Jaiveer Singh added that platforms like TTF are crucial for building networks and deepening regional partnerships in the travel and tourism sector. At the UP pavilion, special focus was given to Ayodhya, Prayagraj, and Varanasi the “Spiritual Triangle” along with lesser-known destinations, home-stay policies, rural tourism initiatives, and sustainable tourism strategies. The award and response at TTF reflect the growing recognition of Uttar Pradesh’s tourism vision and commitment to heritage, innovation, and inclusive growth.
