This Diwali, Van Rāsa, a luxury boutique retreat in Kasauli, invites guests to celebrate in the hills with soulful music, festive dining and warm mountain hospitality. On 7 November, the retreat will host a Diwali Mehfil and Sufi Baithak featuring Mohit Sharma, known for hosting and performing at live musical evenings such as Sureeli Shaam and Shaam-e-Mehfil. The evening will bring together festive décor, a Diwali gala dinner and a cards night for an intimate celebration amidst the hills.
The Diwali gala dinner will feature a tempting spread of festive favourites, from crunchy papdi chaat, golden matar samosas and creamy dahi kebabs to Korean chilli mushrooms and chilli paneer. The main course will bring comforting flavours to the table with paneer sirke wala, Himachali gobhi palda, rich dal makhni, hing dhaniya aloo and aromatic vegetable biryani, served with raita and salan. To end on a sweet note, guests can indulge in golden apple jalebis, creamy Bombay kulfi and warm moong dal halwa, making it a festive feast to look forward to.
Guests can make a festive getaway of the occasion or join the evening celebrations without an overnight stay. The celebrations continue on 8 November, with festive décor, a live singer and cards night, offering another opportunity to enjoy Diwali in the hills.
