The Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board successfully organised the first phase of its annual quiz
competition, ‘Boojho, Jaano Phir Dekho – Apna Pradesh’, at the district level on Friday. Now in its seventhedition, the quiz witnessed participation from over 24,000 students from classes 9 to 12, representing morethan 8,163 schools across the state.
In each district, six top-performing teams—selected through a written preliminary round—competed in aninteractive multimedia round. The winning team from each district will advance to the state-level finale. Theinitiative is being supported by the Department of Tourism, respective district administrations, the DistrictArchaeology, Tourism & Culture Councils, and the School Education Department.
Principal Secretary, Tourism, Culture, and Religious Trusts & Endowments Department, and ManagingDirector, Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board , Mr.Sheo Shekhar Shukla said “Inspiring the younger generationto appreciate, preserve and promote Madhya Pradesh’s rich cultural, historical and natural heritage remainsa core priority. Initiatives like ‘Boojho, Jaano Phir Dekho – Apna Pradesh’ not only serve as a knowledge-building platform, but also foster a deeper sense of pride and connection with one’s own state.”
Mr. Shukla added that the state-level quiz will include questions related to Madhya Pradesh’s tourism, aswell as its art, history, and cultural legacy, to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the state’s proudheritage. Directions have been issued to elevate the competition to the next level in terms of content andreach.
