The National Highway Authority of India ( NHAI) has collaborated with Google India to enhance the road safety and improve user convenience on indian highway network.
To enhance the travel experience of the commuters on India’s vast network of National Highways, NHAI has collaborated with Google India. This collaboration, powered via API Setu, will enable citizens/ public to access highway-related information while using
@googlemaps.
NHAI has already hosted highway information related to Wayside Amenities and public convenience on API Setu. Further, to strengthen safety measures, NHAI will work with Google India to make available other relevant road safety parameters, viz. Temporary Road Closures/ diversions and accident-prone areas, so that the public using Google Maps can be alerted well in advance.
This partnership marks a key milestone in leveraging technology and data to make India’s highways smarter, safer, and more connected, reinforcing NHAI’s commitment to transparency, safety, and user convenience.
