LEAD NEWS : CHHATTISGARH TOURISM BOARD HOLDS ONLINE MEETING ON HOMESTAY POLICY SUBSIDY PROCESS

An important meeting was held today under the chairmanship of Mr. Vivek Acharya, Managing Director, Chhattisgarh Tourism Board (CTB), to discuss the effective implementation of the Homestay Policy, the eligibility criteria prescribed under the subsidy policy, and other related facilities. The Chairman of Chhattisgarh Gramin Bank, Mr. Vinod Arora, was specially present at the meeting.
Homestay owners and tourism stakeholders from various districts of the Surguja and Bastar divisions joined the meeting through an online platform. The meeting began with a detailed presentation on the Homestay Policy, during which information was shared about the required documents, eligibility criteria, and the process for providing subsidies to homestay owners under the policy. It was also explained how the subsidy would be released and in which stages.
During the meeting, it was informed that work is underway on plans to provide additional facilities to homestays. It was further proposed by the Chhattisgarh Tourism Board that if 10–12 homestays are developed as a cluster within a single village, special schemes would be implemented to promote community participation, cultural programs, and local tourism activities.

On this occasion, while addressing homestay owners from the Surguja and Bastar divisions, Managing Director Mr. Vivek Acharya stated that anyone interested in obtaining information related to the Homestay Policy or seeking registration with the Chhattisgarh Tourism Board can contact their nearest CTB Tourist Information Center.
During the meeting, Chhattisgarh Gramin Bank Chairman Mr. Vinod Arora shared information related to loans, explaining how homestay owners can apply for loans, what the loan process will be, and under what conditions financial assistance will be provided.
This meeting is expected to prove to be an important initiative towards strengthening homestay tourism in the state and boosting the rural economy.
