1. India is one of the largest outbound travel markets for Nepal. How is Hyatt Place Butwal tailoring its offerings to attract and cater to Indian guests, in terms of food, services, and experiences?
A) Yes, Hyatt Place Butwal is strategically located and easily accessible for travellers, making it an ideal holiday destination for friends, families and business guests. The premium property is a 30-minute drive from Gautam Buddha International Airport at Bhairahawa and over three hours from the Gorakhpur airport. Guests who enjoy a road trip can also drive in from India and enter Nepal by just showing their IDs and passports at the border. Since both countries share very similar cultural tastes, they feel very much at home at the Hyatt Place Butwal, while also enjoying the local touch.

For our guests, we are focusing on modern rooms, quicker group check-ins, and curated dining experiences suited to every palate. At the Zing Bar & Restaurant, we offer a range of international and authentic regional dishes, including familiar comfort Indian food. Our staff is trained to understand cultural nuances and is well versed in Nepali, Hindi, and English. Additionally, to ensure our guests are served to the best of our abilities, we are constantly collaborating with travel partners and tour operators to customise and design memorable stays for them. At the Hyatt Place Butwal, guests are welcomed and made comfortable whether they stay with us for a holiday, pilgrimage, business trip or for special occasions.
The Hyatt Place Butwal is also an ideal location for destination weddings. We offer curated hospitality services and have aesthetically designed event spaces for families to host the entire range of festivities.
Our ballroom can accommodate up to 500 guests, while our smaller meeting rooms can comfortably host groups of 50–80 attendees, making the hotel well suited for weddings but also corporate off sites, and group travel requirements.

2. With spiritual tourism and road trips from North India to Nepal increasing, what role do you see Butwal playing as a gateway destination, and how does the hotel support this travel segment?
A) We couldn’t have been more ideally located to cater to this fast-growing segment. From Butwal, travellers can conveniently travel by road to Lumbini (Lord Buddha’s birthplace) – an hour away, Pokhara – around five hours and Kathmandu – a little over eight hours, making it the preferred transit stop from India. At the Hyatt Place Butwal, guests can be assured of being looked after in the most luxurious manner whether stopping by enroute on a long road trip or staying with us for a holiday. Our efficient check-in process, spacious rooms for families, reliable all-day dining, secure parking and world-class service standards ensure guests feel refreshed and rejuvenated the moment they step foot on the premises.

3. Indian travellers today look for a balance of affordability, comfort, and branded reliability. How does Hyatt Place Butwal position itself to meet these evolving expectations?
A) Hyatt Place is a premier select-service hotel brand from Hyatt Hotels Corporation and offers internationally benchmarked service standards and consistent quality trusted by guests across the world.
While reflecting the legacy and reputation of the international brand, at the Hyatt Place Butwal, we also strive to keep our pricing and packages competitive for the regional market with the objective to deliver a stay that feels premium yet practical for the Indian guest.

Our modern guests choose us for our spacious luxurious rooms, essential business and leisure facilities, and non-negotiable hygiene practices. We also periodically announce timely offers especially curated for our guests to mark different occasions. This combination of value and branded assurance resonates strongly with both families, solo, friends and corporate travellers.
4. What trends are you seeing in bookings from India — leisure, weddings, corporate travel, or group tours — and how is the property adapting its strategy to tap this growing market?
A) We launched in November 2025, just in time to capture the wedding and festive rush and since then, we’ve seen a healthy mix of segments visiting our property. We’ve hosted several cross-border wedding functions, year-end celebrations, Valentine’s Day, etc. Since many international travellers visit India during the winter, we’ve seen good traction from both leisure travellers and pilgrimage groups, particularly those visiting Lumbini.
Among the most noteworthy trends we’ve seen over the past few months are weddings, corporate movements and cross-border business travel, reflecting growing regional economic activity. Increasingly, families travelling by road especially from the Uttar Pradesh have shown a preference for branded hotels for reliability, safety, and predictable service standards.
