Shri Arun Shankar Prasad, Minister, Tourism Department, today inaugurated a website to provide convenient accommodation facilities for domestic and international tourists visiting Bihar. The website enables easy booking of hotels managed by the Bihar State Tourism Development Corporation Ltd., Patna, at various tourist destinations across the state.
The launch event was held at the Hon’ble Minister’s office in the Main Secretariat, in the presence of Tourism Secretary Shri Nilesh Ramchandra Deore and Managing Director of Bihar State Tourism Development Corporation, Shri Nand Kishore.
The Tourism Minister informed that the website (www.bstdcmis.bihar.gov.in) has been developed with an Online Booking Software & Management Information System to ensure smooth online booking and efficient management. Through this platform, tourists will be able to access booking facilities and related information for 38 hotels under the Corporation’s control (including licensed and self-operated properties). This will make it easier for tourists to select suitable accommodation at different tourist locations across Bihar.
The Minister further stated that the Online Booking Software & Management Information System has been developed by ICICI Bank for use by the Tourism Corporation without any service charges.
During his address, the Minister highlighted that this system will provide a seamless booking experience for hotels managed by the Tourism Department at various tourist destinations in Bihar, making it more convenient for both domestic and international tourists.
Officials also informed that complete details related to hotel bookings will be available on this website, which will also be linked to the Bihar State Tourism Development Corporation’s main website (www.bstdc.bihar.gov.in), further assisting tourists in selecting hotels.
On this occasion, Shri Rajesh Roshan, Joint Director, Tourism Directorate, along with other officials and staff of the Tourism Department and Tourism Corporation, were also present.
