The grand Travel & Tourism Fair 2026, held annually, will be inaugurated with a dignified ceremony on 10 July at Biswa Bangla Mela Ground, Kolkata by West Bengal tourism minister, Shankar Ghosh. This three-day tourism event, to be held from 10 July to 12 July, will witness participation from the tourism departments of 22 Indian states as well as five countries.

Representing the Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation (RTDC) at the Travel & Tourism Fair, Mr. Hinglaj Dan Ratnoo arrived in Kolkata today. At a press conference held at the Rajasthan Information Centre, he addressed Bengali, Hindi and English television channels as well as the print media and discussed Rajasthan tourism in detail.

Mr. Hinglaj Dan Ratnoo said that Rajasthan has always been the first choice of Bengali tourists, as its rich heritage and culture attract them. He informed the media that among domestic tourists, Bengalis and Gujaratis constitute the largest number of visitors.
He stated that Bengali tourists primarily prefer visiting Amer Fort, Nahargarh Fort, City Palace, Hawa Mahal and Jantar Mantar in Jaipur, along with Sonar Fort (Jaisalmer), Kumbhalgarh Fort, Chittorgarh Fort, Mehrangarh Fort (Jodhpur), Junagarh Fort (Bikaner), Ranthambore Tiger Sanctuary (Sawai Madhopur), Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary and the Jawai–Bera Leopard Safari.

He further said that the expatriate Marwari business community living in Bengal, numbering around three million in metropolitan Kolkata, gives great importance to religious tourism, especially visits to Khatu Shyam Ji, Rani Sati Dadi, Salasar Balaji, Karni Mata and Ramdev Ji.

For the nearly three million Marwari industrialists residing in Kolkata, Rajasthan has also become a major destination wedding hub, which has emerged as an innovation in the tourism sector under the present Rajasthan Government.
He added that the recent visit of Rajasthan’s Deputy Chief Minister and Tourism Minister, Princess Diya Kumari, to Kolkata, West Bengal, has also played a significant role in giving new momentum to Rajasthan tourism and helping it reach greater heights.
