RAILWAY: EASTERN RAILWAY’S HOWRAH DIVISION TO RUN TWELVE (12) ADDITIONAL EMU SPECIALS DURING DURGA PUJA

In a bid to fecilitate travel & ensure the utmost convenience for commuters and to clear anticipated rush of passengers during Durga Puja, Eastern Railway’s Howrah Division has unveiled plans to operate following   twelve (12)  additional  services of  EMU  Special trains will run also in the nights of  21/22.10.2026.

• 03071/ 03072 Howrah – Barddhaman – Howrah EMU special via Bandel (leaving Howrah at 00:45 hrs. to reach Barddhaman at 03:10 hrs. & leaving Barddhaman  at 21:40 hrs. to reach Howrah at 00:05 hrs.)
• 03079/03080 Howrah – Barddhaman – Howrah  EMU special via Dankuni (leaving Howrah at 01:15 hrs. to reach Barddhaman at 03:20 hrs.  & leaving Barddhaman  at 22:30 hrs. to reach Howrah at 00:45 hrs.)
• 03073/03074 Howrah – Bandel – Howrah  EMU special (leaving Howrah at 01:00 hrs. to reach Bandel at 02:05 hrs.  & leaving Bandel at 23:30 hrs. to reach Howrah at 00:35 hrs.)
• 03075/03076 Seoraphuli  – Tarakeswar – Seoraphuli EMU special (leaving Sheoraphuli  at 00:30 hrs. to reach Tarakeswar at 01:20 hrs.  & leaving Tarakeswar at 23:15 hrs. to reach Seoraphuli at 00:05 hrs.)
• 03078/03077 Bandel – Naihati – Bandel  EMU special (leaving Bandel at 00:45 hrs. to reach Naihati  at 01:08 hrs.  & leaving Naihati  at 01:20 hrs. to reach Bandel at 01:45 hrs.)
• 03081/ 03082 Howrah – Chandanpur – Howrah  EMU special via Dankuni (leaving Howrah at 00:15 hrs. to reach Chandanpur at 01:15 hrs.  & leaving Chandanpur  at 01:30 hrs. to reach Howrah at 02:30 hrs.)

All other arrangements will remain same which was earlier informed through Press Release.

Apart from this, due to track maintenance work in Howrah Division, 37748 Katwa – Bandel EMU Local will leave Katwa at 13:50 hrs. instead of 13:00 hrs. on 17.10.2026.

FESTIVE SPECIAL TRAIN BETWEEN NEW DELHI AND HOWRAH:

To clear the extra rush of passengers during the festive season, a Reserved Festival Superfast Special train will operate between New Delhi and Howrah as Train Nos. 04070/04069.

04070 (New Delhi–Howrah): Departs New Delhi at 08:20 hrs. on 17.10.2026 and arrives at Howrah at 10:50 hrs. on 18.10.2026.
04069 (Howrah–New Delhi): Departs Howrah at 15:00 hrs. on 18.10.2026 and arrives at New Delhi at 18:45 hrs. on 19.10.2026.

*The trains will stop at Jasidih, Madhupur, Chittaranjan, Asansol and Durgapur over Asansol Division.*

RAILWAY AUGMENTS FOUR PAIRS OF TRAINS WITH ADDITIONAL COACHES DURING PUJA:

To accommodate the increased passenger rush during the Puja season, Railway has decided to temporarily augment four pairs of trains with one additional LHB coach each.

*The details are as follows:*

1. 13021/13022 Mithila Express: 20 to 21 coaches. From Howrah: 15.10.2026 to 20.11.2026; from Raxaul: 16.10.2026 to 21.11.2026.

2. 13105/13106 Sealdah–Balia Express: 17 to 18 coaches. From Sealdah: 15.10.2026 to 20.11.2026; from Balia: 16.10.2026 to 21.11.2026.

3. 13185/13186  Sealdah-Jaynagar Gangasagar Express: 17 to 18 coaches. From Sealdah: 15.10.2026 to 20.11.2026; from Jaynagar: 16.10.2026 to 21.11.2026.

4. 13009/13010 Howrah -Yog Nagari Rishikesh Doon Express: 21 to 22 coaches. From Howrah: 15.10.2026 to 20.11.2026, except 21.10.2026; from Yog Nagari Rishikesh: 17.10.2026 to 22.11.2026, except 23.10.2026, due to the IRCTC FTR programme.
