Sunday PropTech Limited, a PRISM-backed hospitality ownership company, has expanded its presence into Eastern India with the acquisition of an 89-room hotel in Kolkata’s Rajarhat – a rapidly developing business hub. The property will be operated under Clubhouse, the company’s mid-premium hotel brand within the Sunday Collection portfolio. The acquisition is part of the company’s ongoing expansion of its hospitality portfolio across India, with plans to reposition and rebrand the property over the coming months.
Strategically located close to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport and key commercial destinations such as Ecospace Business Park, Bengal Silicon Valley and Biswa Bangla Convention Centre, the six-storey property was built in 2017. It has food and beverage facilities and meeting spaces, catering to business travellers, corporate guests and visitors to the city.
The acquisition is aligned with Sunday PropTech’s strategy of identifying and investing in well-located hospitality assets with potential for long-term value creation. The company plans to leverage PRISM’s hospitality brand ecosystem, technology platform, distribution network and centralised revenue management capabilities to enhance the property’s operating performance, positioning and overall guest experience.
Kolkata is an important market in Sunday PropTech’s expansion plans, supported by growing commercial activity, the development of IT and business infrastructure, and demand from corporate and business travellers. Building on this entry, the company is also evaluating additional hotel investment opportunities across West Bengal.

Sunday PropTech has been expanding its portfolio of premium and mid-premium hospitality assets in India and internationally. The company recently acquired eight premium serviced-apartment hotels with a combined value of approximately ₹800 crore. These properties will be operated under PRISM’s hospitality brand ecosystem, including Sunday Hotels, Belvilla and other suitable brands, supported by its technology and distribution capabilities.
