KOLKATA, 17 MARCH 2025:
The Association of Buddhist Tour Operators (ABTO) has appointed Mr. M. Vinod Junglighat , Director of Modern Tour and Travels in Port Blair as the state head for Andaman Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep for the period of 14 March 2025 to 9 December 2026. He is also the President of Andaman Association of Tour Operators.
In a letter dated 14 March 2025 issued by Dr. Kaulesh Kumar, Secretary General and Founder of Association of Buddhist Tour Operators has said that he has been appointed for the mission of promotion of Tourism and work for humanity, peace, tourism, nature, spiritual, and culture through ABTO in the world.
ABTO is the global platform of tourism with Buddhism. “ This is in recognition of your services and commitment to the promotion of Tourism associated with Buddhism Pilgrimage and Culture in the world, especially in the Asia – Pacific.
ABTO is working for tourism as a platform of tourism with Buddhism with more than 25 countries with the support of over 1000 members, 500 non members, 20 international and 30 national organizations , 10 instituitions etc worldwide headquartered in Nalanda, Bihar in India since 2015 and since then has been working with the motto – ‘One World One Tourism One Platform ABTO’.
Dr. Kaulesh Kumar has said that this fresh appointment will further boost the Buddhist Tourism in the islands states of Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep.
ABTO aims to promote tourism with Buddhist sectors and principles of global tourism by presenting a united Tourism with Buddhism voice on issues that concern all tourism stakeholders.
