In a pioneering move to enhance aviation safety in India, Akasa Air, India’s fastest-growing airline, has hosted the first-ever meeting under the Chiefs of Flight Safety (COFS) initiative. This milestone gathering marked an unprecedented moment, bringing together the Chiefs of Flight Safety of all Indian airlines and aircraft operators in a shared effort to address safety challenges and set new benchmarks for operational excellence.
Held under the unifying theme “Safety Beyond Competition,” this first initiative, hosted at the Akasa Air headquarters in Mumbai, aims to foster a culture of transparency, collaboration, and continuous improvement across the industry. By creating a forum for open dialogue and the exchange of best practices, the COFS are taking critical step towards definitive strides in making Indian aviation the safest in the world.
Akasa Air is committed to collaborate and carry forward this initiative of “Safety Beyond Competition” along with the other airlines to strengthen safety outcomes and ensuring a resilient future for Indian aviation.
Commenting on the initiative, Capt. The inaugural COFS meeting witnessed active participation from airlines and operators across the country, reflecting a strong, industry-wide commitment to advancing safety standards through collaboration. This united front reflects a strong industry-wide commitment to enhancing safety standards for the benefit of passengers, crew, and stakeholders alike.
