Airport Authority of India, Chennai Airport proudly announces the successful completion of the migration process of 26 airlines to its state-of-the-art New Integrated Terminal Building (T-2). The migration, which commenced on June 13, 2023 has now concluded, marking a significant milestone for the airport.
The migration process involved meticulous planning, coordination, and seamless execution to ensure a smooth transition for all airlines and their operations. Chennai Airport worked closely with the respective airlines and stakeholders to ensure minimal disruption to passenger services during the migration period.
The 26 airlines that have successfully migrated to the New Integrated Terminal Building (T-2) are:
Indigo, US Bangla, Alliance Air, Air India, Air India Express, Air Arabia (G9), Air Arabia (3L), Ethiopian, Jazeera, Air Asia Berhad, Air Asia Thai, Myanmar Airlines, Thai Airways, Qatar Airways, Emirates, Fly Dubai, Gulf Air, Singapore Airlines, Oman Air, Lufthansa, Air France, Kuwait Airways, Etihad, Sri Lankan Airlines, British Airways, & Malaysia Airlines.
Prime Minister , Narendra Modi had inaugurated the New Integrated Terminal Building (NITB Phase-I, T-2) of Chennai International Airport on 08th April’23. The new terminal spanning 1,36,295 Sqm. is GRIHA (Green Rating for Integrated Habitat Assessment) compliant, embracing various eco-friendly features and incorporating tradition elements inside the structure.
The New Integrated Terminal Building (T-2) boasts of cutting-edge infrastructure, enhanced passenger amenities, and modern technology to provide a seamless and enjoyable travel experience, offering a wide range of services, retail outlets, dining options, and state-of-the-art facilities.
Airports Authority of India expresses its gratitude to all passengers for their co-operation and understanding during the migration process. The successful migration of these 26 airlines represents a significant milestone in the airport’s continued pursuit of excellence in air travel.
