NEW DELHI | 5 OCTOBER 2026

National, 05 October 2026: The continuously rising ATF (Aviation Turbine Fuel) costs have required IndiGo to re-calibrate fuel charges across its domestic and international routes. The revised charges will be applicable to all new bookings made after 0001 hrs on 06 October 2026. ATF prices have remained volatile in recent months, especially following geopolitical issues in the Middle East. The continuous rise in the fuel prices, with the latest month-on-month increase exceeding 14%, has taken ATF costs to levels that are amongst the highest in the last decade.

Given that Aviation Turbine Fuel makes up a significant share of airline’s operating costs, this rise is expected to impact airlines’ cost structures and network economics, including those of IndiGo. In view of the situation, IndiGo has marginally re-calibrated its fuel charges across its domestic as well as international flights.

The following charges will be included in all new bookings on IndiGo flights starting 0001 hrs on 06 October 2026. FUEL CHARGES ON DOMESTIC ROUTES Routes Revised Fuel Charge (in INR) 0 – 500 kms 375 501 – 1,000 kms 600 1001 – 1,500 kms 900 1501 – 2,000 kms 1,150 Above 2,000 1,300 FUEL CHARGES ON INTERNATIONAL ROUTES Routes Revised Fuel Charge (in INR) SAARC Region Up to 500 kms 1,000 501 kms and above 3,000 Southeast Asia 5,500 GCC & Middle East 5,500 North & East Asia 5,500 Africa 6,000 Europe 10,000 While offsetting the increase in fuel costs would have required a significantly larger increase in the fuel charges, IndiGo has implemented a measured and relatively modest adjustment to minimise the impact on customers.

IndiGo regrets the additional burden these revised fuel charges may place on its customers. However, the decision reflects the sustained increase in operating costs and the evolving market environment. IndiGo will continue to monitor the situation and make relevant adjustments as and when appropriate. IndiGo remains committed to giving wings to the nation by offering affordable, convenient and consistent travel to customers.
