Saudia, the national flag carrier of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, has climbed to 15th place in the 2026 Skytrax global airline rankings, continuing its upward trajectory in one of the aviation industry’s leading international benchmarks. The airline also secured two regional awards this year.

Announced at the World Airline Awards ceremony in London, Saudia’s 2026 ranking places the airline 15th globally, up from 17th in 2025 and 20th in 2024, representing a five-place rise over two years.

At the regional level, Saudia was named Best Cabin Crew in the Middle East and retained Best Airline Staff Service in the Middle East for the second consecutive year. The staff service recognition reflects guest evaluations across the journey, from frontline airport and ground services through to the onboard experience.

Engr. Ibrahim Al-Omar, Director General of Saudia Group, said: “This achievement carries particular significance in one of the world’s most competitive industries. It reflects the dedication of our people, who are central to Saudia’s transformation and bring Saudi hospitality to life through the service and care they provide to our guests every day. We will continue investing in our people, technology and products as we advance the New Saudia Experience and further enhance our competitiveness globally.”

The recognition comes as Saudia continues to advance the New Saudia Experience, bringing together authentic Saudi hospitality, operational excellence, digital innovation and enhanced products and services across the guest journey. At the heart of this transformation are Saudia’s people, with continued investment in talent supporting the quality and consistency of the experience delivered to guests at every stage of travel.

Rossen Dimitrov, Chief Guest Experience Officer at Saudia, said: “The strongest measure of our progress is what our guests experience for themselves. We are reshaping the travel experience around their needs, and our people are the ones who turn that ambition into reality every day. The recognition of both our cabin crew and frontline teams demonstrates that the transformation underway at Saudia is translating into an experience our guests can see, feel and trust.”

Saudia is currently undertaking the largest investment in guest experience in its history, spanning both its new and existing fleet. The program includes new and redesigned cabins and seating, high-speed inflight connectivity, enhanced inflight entertainment and  digital services, alongside continued investment in its people, supporting a new standard of travel and strengthening Saudia’s competitiveness globally.
