
(Launch of Influencer Engagement Portal Gives New Direction to Digital Tourism Promotion)

The Jharkhand Tourism Department successfully organized the ‘State-Level Influencer Meet 2026’ today at Hotel Paryatan Vihar, Patratu. Held under the vision of Hon’ble Chief Minister Hemant Soren and the leadership of Hon’ble Tourism Minister Sudivya Kumar, the event aimed to promote Jharkhand’s tourist destinations, art and culture, heritage, and local cuisine at national and international levels through digital platforms.

Shri Sudivya Kumar Minister of Department of Tourism, Art-Culture, Sports & Youth Affairs attended the event as the Chief Guest. Senior officials present at the program included Department Secretary Shri Mukesh Kumar, Managing Director of Jharkhand Tourism Development Corporation Shri Prem Ranjan, General Manager Shri Rajeev Ranjan, along with other senior departmental officials.

During the event, Hon’ble Minister Shri Sudivya Kumar officially launched the Influencer Engagement Portal. Through this portal, content creators and influencers from across the state will have the opportunity to formally collaborate with the Tourism Department. The initiative is being viewed as a significant step toward establishing a strong and structured partnership between digital creators and the tourism department.

More than 80 leading social media influencers from across the state participated in the event. The primary objective of the meet was to showcase Jharkhand’s natural beauty, cultural heritage, tourism potential, and local identity to a wider audience through digital platforms.

Addressing the gathering, Minister Shri Sudivya Kumar said:
“We could have invited creators from major metropolitan cities to promote Jharkhand’s tourist destinations, but the true identity of Jharkhand — its simplicity, culture, and folk life — can be represented most authentically by influencers from our own state. Our effort is to ensure that when young creators from Jharkhand create content at tourist destinations, they can proudly say that they are associated with the Jharkhand Tourism Department. This will not only strengthen the branding of the state but also provide local creators with new recognition and opportunities.”

An interactive session with influencers was also conducted during the program, where detailed discussions were held on tourism promotion, digital storytelling, content creation, and taking Jharkhand’s cultural identity to a global platform.
