Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath has said that the state is planning sustaianble tourism with the introdyction of electric vehicle services at prominent tourism hotspots . He announced this while adressing a gathering on World Tourism Day event recently at the Yogiraj Baba Gambhirnath Auditorium.
He further stated that his government will not only planning to deploy electric buses and e rickshaws rickshaws but will also install solar lighting at select tourism destinations.
Mr. Yogi Adityanath had inaugurated an exhibition showcasing Uttar Pradesh’s tourist attractions in Gorakhpur, and released a comprehensive booklet A-Z on these destinations, distributed kits to Youth Tourism Club members, and recognized leading tourism travel agents and entrepreneurs in his state.
The CM of UP also further emphasized the theme of “Tourism and Green Investment” for World Tourism Day, thus aiming to create a cleaner and more inviting environment for visitors by reducing reliance on generators and implementing solar lighting at tourist sites.
“In a significant move towards promoting sustainable urban mobility, the Uttar Pradesh government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, has given the nod already for the operation of air-conditioned electric buses in three key cities – Saharanpur, Ayodhya, and Firozabad,” said a top official of Uttar Pradesh tourism department.
