Supreme Tours & Travels was honoured to serve as the Industry Partner for the successful Food Production Training Programme for the LGBTQ+ Community, organized by the Institute of Hotel Management (IHM), Taratala, Kolkata, in association with BRIDGE. The five-day culinary workshop was conducted from 8th June to 12th June 2026, with the objective of empowering members of the LGBTQ+ community through professional culinary skill development and creating pathways for sustainable livelihoods.
The programme focused on hands-on training in food production, baking, plating techniques, and culinary creativity, providing participants with practical exposure to hospitality industry standards. The initiative reflected a shared commitment towards inclusion, diversity, and skill-based empowerment.
The Valedictory and Validation Session was graced by distinguished dignitaries including Pranav Prakash, Regional Director (East), Ministry of Tourism, Kolkata Office, and Riyaz Rizvi, Rooms Division Manager, The Lalit Great Eastern Kolkata. They were joined by Raja Sadhukhan, Principal , IHM Kolkata whose leadership and support were instrumental in the successful execution of the programme, Mr Prithviraj Nath , Founder, Bridge and Mrs Mahua Seth, Co-Founder, Rainbow Room.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Koushik Banerjee from Supreme Tours & Travels reiterated the organization’s belief that tourism and hospitality can be powerful tools for social inclusion and economic empowerment. By supporting initiatives that create opportunities for marginalized communities, the travel and hospitality industry can contribute meaningfully to building a more equitable society.
