This event of Pragyalaya and Rajasthan Information Center dedicated to the Rajasthani language in the memory of Tesitori has proven  to be exemplary for Rajasthani literature, language and culture, says Viswanath Ji Chandak.

Rajasthan Information Center Auditorium of Metro city of  Kolkata today has the colors of Rajasthani literature, language and culture. It was drenched in the colors of Rajasthan, the occasion was the Rajasthani scholar L. Ceremony to honor Rajasthani literature, language and culture in memory of P Tessitori.

The chief guest of the program was the famous cultural connoisseur and Chairman of Maheshwari Library Shri Vishwanath Ji Chandak and the famous Rajasthani scholar linguist Shri Rajendra Ji Kedia was presiding over it.

Giving detailed information about this program, program coordinator Rajkumar Vyas said that in this dignified function organized under the joint aegis of Prajnyalaya Sansthan Bikaner and Kamla Devi Lakshminarayan Ranga Trust Bikaner and Rajasthan Information Center Kolkata, for the promotion of literature in Rajasthani language, expatriate Rajasthani litterateur Shri Banshidhar was honored.

Tessetory Rajasthani Sahitya Pragya Award was given to G. Sharma and dedicated to Rajasthani language and Rajasthan linguist and President of Rajasthani Pracharani Sabha Shri Ratan Shah was given Tessetory Rajasthani Language Pragya Award and Shri Mahavir Prasad ji, conductor of Rajasthani folk culture and President of Kumar Sabha Library. Bajaj was presented with Tessitori Rajasthani Sanskriti Pragya Award.

This program was being conducted by Mr. Hinglaj Dan Ratnoo, Assistant Director and Program Coordinator of Rajasthan Information Centre, Information and Public Relations Department of Rajasthan Government and a keen scholar of Rajasthani culture.

Presiding over the program, famous scholar Shri Rajendra Kedia said that if the language survives, our existence will survive. Shri Rajendra Kedia said that such events strengthen our linguistic tradition. He further said that with the arrival of Shri Hinglaj Dan Ratnu ji, we have got a lot of inspiration among all the lovers of Rajasthani language due to his successful efforts.

While conducting the programme, coordinator Mr. Hinglaj Dan Ratnoo, while mentioning many couplets of Dingal and Rajasthani language, said that Rajasthani language is the language of mother’s womb, giving an example he said, “Wahalo pankhyan bahar ayo, Mata bain sunave yun, Mahari Kokh Sawai Re Wahala Thane Sakhari Ghunti Do.”

In this function, the trinity of Rajasthani literature, language and culture, Shri Banshidhar Ji Sharma, Shri Mahavir Prasad Ji Bajaj, Prajnyalaya Sansthan Bikaner and Kamla Devi Lakshminarayan Ranga Trust of  Rajasthan  and many other  dignitaries of the metropolis including Mr. Arun Mallawat, Mr. Sitaram Sharma, Mr. Ramchandra Agarwal, Mr. D.N. Sharma, Mr. Malchand ji, Mrs. Gayatri Bajaj were present in the program. In the program, the three scholars were honored with shawl, quince, certificate and garland. While giving welcome speech and vote of thanks, the program coordinator Shri Rajkumar Vyas said that Bikaner is called the second Kashi and the literary institute there Literary contribution of the pioneer of the movement Shri Kamal Ranga ji in  Rajasthani literature, language and culture was an effort  to reach the home to personalities dedicated to this language, right under their doorstep and this event is part of the series of honoring and today it has stood the test of success.
