KOLKATA | 19 JUNE 2026
The Bihar Tourism Department is participating in the “Bengal Tourism Fest 2026”, being held from 19 to 21 June 2026 at the Khudiram Anushilan Kendra in Kolkata. The event is being organized by the Association of Tourism Service Providers of Bengal.

On this occasion, under the leadership of Joint Director Shri Rajesh Roshan, the Bihar Tourism Department is promoting the state’s major religious, historical, cultural, and heritage tourism destinations. At the department’s exhibition stall, promotional materials related to Bihar’s tourism potential, tourism circuits, including the Buddhist, Jain, Sikh, and Ramayana Circuits, as well as the state’s unique cultural identity, are being made available to visitors.

The objective of this participation is to establish Bihar as a leading national tourism destination, increase awareness of the state’s tourism assets among prospective tourists, tour operators, and stakeholders associated with the travel industry, and strengthen interstate tourism cooperation. Tourism events of this nature, held in an important metropolitan city like Kolkata, provide a valuable platform for presenting Bihar’s tourism image on a wider scale.
The Bihar Tourism Department believes that participation in such events will promote religious tourism, heritage tourism, cultural tourism, and leisure tourism in the state. It will also further strengthen the attraction of Bihar’s diverse tourist destinations among tourists from West Bengal and other parts of eastern India.
The department has appealed to the general public, representatives of the tourism industry, and travel enthusiasts to visit the Bihar Tourism stall and learn about the state’s rich cultural heritage and tourism potential.
