KOLKATA, 23 DECEMBER 2023:

Shubh Srijan Sarathi-2023 felicitation ceremony and discussion was organized by Shubh Srijan Network and Rajasthan Information Centre, Kolkata.

In this program, Dr. S.Anand, who has been active in the field of journalism and literature for the last 50 years  was honored with the prestigious Srijan Sarathi Award.

The memento was presented to him by Mr. Hinglaj Dan Ratnoo, Assistant Director of Rajasthan Information Centre in Kolkata.

The shawl was presented  by president of the programe , Dainik Sutrakar editor Ashok Pandey and chief guest and executive editor of Bharatmitra Hindi daily Vasudev Ojha.

The congratulatory letter was handed over  by Loknath Tiwari, in-charge of Dainik  Bartaman  and Santosh Kumar Singh, editor of Salaam Duniya. Dr. Jaiprakash Mishra read out the congratulatory letter.

Commenting on the programme,  Dr. S. Anand discussed the indifference of Hindi speaking society towards literature and his creative journey.

On this occasion, a discussion was also organized on the topic of Corona period, Internet and Hindi journalists.

While presenting his presidential address in the discussion, Dainik Sutrakar editor Ashok Pandey said that today information is being shared on the internet, so that it can get the status of news, hence a law should be made regarding the news broadcast on the internet like the print media.  Central Governments will have to work in this direction. Must have command over language, style and news. Internet journalism should also be curbed.

Santosh Kumar Singh, editor of Salaam Duniya, discussed the challenges of Hindi journalists and stressed on improving the workplace environment.

Loknath Tiwari, the current in-charge of the Hindi magazine, expressed concern over the fake news spreading on the internet.

Mental health expert Pihu Papia discussed the positive effects of the Corona period. Kolkata Hindi News discussed the challenges of journalists during the Corona period and described newspapers as a reliable medium.

The welcome address in the program was given by Mr. Hinglaj Dan Ratnoo, Assistant Director of Rajasthan Information Centre, Kolkata.

The program was conducted by Mr. Vivek Tiwari while the vote of thanks was given by Mr. Mohan Tiwari, patron of Shubh Srijan Network.

Speaking at  the program, Sushma Tripathi Kanupriya, head of Shubh Srijan Network, said that to  honor a stalwart like Dr. S.Anand is to honor ourselves, who  has played as an important bridge beween  literature and journalism.

Hindi journalists have many challenges of their own and the Corona period affected journalism and journalists. This discussion was an essential medium for conversation.
