India Tourism Bhubaneswar, which is under the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, successfully participated in the Tourism Exchange (TEX) 2026. Organized by the Tourism India Alliance (TIA), the event took place from January 8th to 10th at the Mayfair Palm Beach Resort, bringing together the nation’s leading tourism stakeholders to redefine India’s travel landscape.
The event was ceremoniously inaugurated with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony. Ms. Rashmi Sonia Tirkey, Assistant Director of India Tourism Bhubaneswar, participated in the lamp lighting ceremony, marking the India tourism Bhubaneswar office’s commitment to supporting regional tourism hubs and “unexplored gems” like Gopalpur on sea.
Over the course of the three-day exchange, India Tourism Bhubaneswar engaged in high-level B2B meetings with a diverse group of participants, including Chhattisgarh Tourism Board, Odisha Tourism and Industry Stakeholders like tour operators, travel agents, and prominent hoteliers.
The exchange featured intensive knowledge sessions where tourism experts discussed sustainable travel, the integration of AI in tourism services, and the promotion of niche circuits. The participation of India Tourism Bhubaneswar focused on strengthening the “East-Central Circuit,” bridging the cultural and natural heritage of Odisha and Chhattisgarh for both domestic and international travelers.
“TEX 2026 serves as a vital bridge between government policy and industry execution. The event concluded with the TIA Awards for Excellence, celebrating innovation and leadership in the sector.
