Already two road shows have been completed to promote the upcoming Rajasthan Domestic Travel Mart (RDTM) 2023 from 14 to 16 July. This will be the third edition of the RDTM. The first roadhsow was held at Jaipur and the second at Udaipur.
The RDTM is being jointly organised by Rajasthan Tourism department, Federation of Tourism and Hospitality in Rajasthan (FITR), and supported by Hotels Restaurants Association of rajasthan (HRAR), Indian Heritage Hotels Association ( IHAI) , Rajasthan Association of Tour Opeartors (RATO).
The first promotional roadshow was held at The Clarks in Jaipur on 9 th May. A memorandum of understanding was signed between rajasthan Tourism and FITR for promotion of digital tourism in PPP mode.
Dr. Rashmi Sharma, Director of Rajasthan Tourism and Apurv Kumar, President of FITR signed the document.
Smt. Gayathri Rathore, Principal Secretary of Tourism Department whiule addressing the gathering has informed that already industry status has been given to Rajasthan and elabortaed on a number of schmes have been , like Rajasthan Rural Tourism Sceme 2022, Rajasthan Gurest House Scheme 2020, Rajasthan Film Tourism Promotional Policy etc.
Emphasis has been given on luxury, niche, religious tourism, border tourism etc. The tourism department is also doing a strength weekness opportunity threat analysis to get a real factsheet about what more infrastructiral upgradations are needed to be done. Heritage places should be more promoted for MICE and wedding destinations, she said.
Apurv Kumar, President of FITR laid emphasis on sustaianable trourism. Dr. Rashmi Sharma said to reduce the carbon footprint by reduce reuse, and recycle.
The magnificent Durbar Hall, located within the iconic City Palace Udaipur, hosted Rajasthan’s second Roadshow, organised on 24th May to promote the Rajasthan Domestic Travel Mart 2023.
