Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Tourism, Art, and Culture, Diya Kumari, stated that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, Rajasthan tourism stands at the forefront of global tourism. She noted that amid global uncertainties, changing travel patterns, and the rising demand for experience-based tourism, Rajasthan is once again set to establish a strong presence on the international tourism map.

Diya Kumari further shared that the 15th edition of the Great Indian Travel Bazaar (GITB), being held in Jaipur from April 26 to 28, holds special significance this year due to the wide representation of participating countries. The gathering of foreign tour operators and tourism stakeholders from 50 countries across all seven continents reflects that Rajasthan is no longer just about heritage—it has become a global destination of trust, diversity, and experience.

She added that the event is being jointly organized by the Rajasthan Tourism Department, the Ministry of Tourism (Government of India), and the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI).

Tourism Department Principal Secretary Ravi Jain informed that the inaugural session of GITB will be held on the evening of April 26 at Jai Mahal Palace, while B2B sessions will be conducted on April 27–28 at JECC Sitapura.

He stated that over 10,000 pre-scheduled B2B meetings will be conducted over two days, enabling foreign buyers to directly engage with Indian exhibitors, heritage and luxury hotel operators, destination management companies, and operators from wellness, wildlife, adventure, and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) sectors.

The objective of these structured meetings is not just promotion but the establishment of long-term business partnerships.

Tourism Commissioner Rukmani Riyar highlighted that the tourism landscape of Rajasthan is rapidly evolving. She emphasized that GITB, consistently organized for the past 15 years, has become a symbol of Rajasthan tourism’s credibility. Despite varying international conditions, the strong participation of foreign tour operators demonstrates that Rajasthan is perceived as a safe, stable, and attractive destination.

At GITB, 13 countries from Asia are participating, including China, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, the United Arab Emirates, and Vietnam.

From Europe, 19 countries will be represented, including Albania, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom.

Participation also includes 4 countries from North America—Canada, Costa Rica, Mexico, and the United States; 5 from South America—Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, and Peru; 3 from Africa—Egypt, Kenya, and South Africa; and 2 from Oceania—Australia and New Zealand. Additionally, Azerbaijan and Russia from the Europe–Asia region will also be represented. These figures highlight that Rajasthan is considered a safe and welcoming destination globally.

Rajasthan tourism is no longer limited to forts, palaces, and royal heritage. Religious sites, monsoon greenery, living culture, and experience-based tourism have established the state as a global destination.

Following the event, curated familiarization (FAM) tours are planned for international delegates to destinations such as Jaipur, Sariska, Sawai Madhopur, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Bikaner, Udaipur, and Deogarh—allowing them to experience Rajasthan beyond presentations.
