This part of South Africa, situated about thousands of miles away from India, which can be easily called Little India, the people of Mauritius, were seen in the form of Ram on the day of the consecration of the idol in the temple of Maryadapurushottam Ram in Ayodhya Dham.
On this occasion was the national saint Swami of Mauritius of Indian origin a dignified ceremony organized in the cultural center of the Human Service Trust established by Krishnanand Ji Saraswati to commemorate the consecration of Shri Ram Mandir in Ayodhya Dham on Monday.
Hundreds of men, women, old people, children and youth have participated in this program at Maurituis as if they are uniting in the form of a mini Ayodhya, where the Prime Minister of Mauritius, Mr. Pravind Jugnauth attended the event as the chief guest along with his wife , it seemed as if the son of Mother India was congratulating his family deity by anointing and consecrating it.
The atmosphere became more Ram-filled when the Prime Minister of Mauritius Mr. Pravind Jugnauth along with his wife Smt. Kobita Jugnauth were welcomed by Chairperson of human service trust, Mr.Premchand Boojhawon Munshi,
Mr. Premchand Boojhawon Munshi, Chairperson of Human Service Trust of Mauritius, chanted “Bhay Pragat Kripala Deendayala Kaushalya Hitkari” in Mangal Dhvani on Mangal Vela and also have performed the aarti.
Swami Krishnanand Ji Saraswati, the national saint of Mauritius who hoisted the flag of Sanatan Dharma in this small India, Mauritius, far away from India, had inculcated the virtues of Ram and nationalism in the minds of the people here.
Smt.Preeumvada Boojhawon Munshi welcomed the spouse of Prime Minister, Mr. Pravind Jugnauth and expressed her greetings while congratulating her on this auspicious occasion and said in hers address, “Payo ji, I have received Ram Ratan Dhan. Payo “ Maryadapurushottam Ram is universal and resides in every particle of the universe, she said that today is Diwali in true sense for us”, she added.
In this ceremony, Mauritius Prime Minister Shri Pravind Jugnauth and his wife were also welcomed by Secretary Sujata Ramdhari and Treasurer Dr. Vandana Lamba on behalf of Human Service Trust Mauritius by presenting them with clothes, scarf, bouquet and bouqets. Prasad and literatures were distributed to all the visiting dignitaries of Mauritius. Mr. Prakash Bahadur was also present on the occasion.
Smt. Nandini K Singhla, High Commissioner of India in Mauritius was received by the Vice-President of Human Service Trust, Smt Rita Bissessur.
The whole country of Mauritius decorated lamp garlands and lit lamps and congratulated this auspicious occasion by chanting Ram Ram.
