Sayaji Kolhapur is all set to bring the world’s most celebrated folk festival to the city with Oktoberfest at Moon Tree Café, running from 19th September to 4th October 2026. Promising an authentic Bavarian experience, the festival invites guests to raise a toast to good food, great music, and warm camaraderie during the dinner session.
Originating in Munich, Germany, in 1810 as a celebration of Crown Prince Ludwig’s marriage to Princess Therese of Saxony-Hildburghausen, Oktoberfest has grown into a global symbol of Bavarian pride and hospitality; celebrated worldwide with its signature blend of beer, food, music, and community spirit. Moon Tree Café brings this iconic tradition to Kolhapur with an immersive experience that stays true to its festive roots.
The café will be transformed into a vibrant Bavarian setting, complete with beer barrels, themed tableware, hanging drapes, posters, and cut-outs that recreate the festive atmosphere of Munich’s iconic Therese’s Meadow. Adding to the authenticity, service associates will be dressed in traditional Bavarian-themed attire, while live singing throughout the festival creating a lively and engaging dining atmosphere.
Guests can look forward to a specially curated menu of classic German preparations including Pretzels, Bratwurst, Sauerkraut, Kartoffel Salat, Bavarian Chspieß Skewers, Chicken Jambonette, and Almond Horseshoe; all complemented by craft beer, making every visit a true celebration of Bavarian flavours.
