To strongly showcase India’s tourism potential in France, a grand India Tourism Promotion Program was organized on 25 September at the Indian Embassy premises in Paris, under the joint aegis of the Indian Embassy, Services Export Promotion Council (SEPC), and Air India.
On this occasion, Mr. Sanjeev Singla, India’s Ambassador to France, was the Chief Guest, highlighting the immense potential for tourism collaboration between India and France. The event was also graced by Counselor Mr. Naveen Kumar and Ms. Shalia Shah. Over 50 leading tour operators and travel agents from various French cities participated, including several prestigious brands and institutions.
Rajasthan Tourism Presentation:
Representing the Rajasthan government, Principal Tourism Secretary Mr. Rajesh Yadav delivered an extensive presentation on Rajasthan’s unique identity and tourist attractions:
- Through promotional films, he showcased Rajasthan’s forts, palaces, havelis, the Thar Desert, Pushkar, Ranthambhore, and Udaipur.
- The presentation also highlighted cultural heritage, folk arts, festivals, and fairs, giving French tour operators a glimpse into Rajasthan’s vibrant traditions.
- He emphasized that Rajasthan Tourism is not limited to heritage and culture but is also a leader in wildlife safaris, adventure tourism, wedding destinations, wellness, and gastronomy.
A New Step Towards France-India Collaboration:
The event provided the French tourist community with an in-depth understanding of Rajasthan’s attractions. Inviting French tour operators, the Rajasthan Tourism Secretary stated:
“There are immense opportunities for tourism investment, collaborative ventures, and package tour development in Rajasthan. The Rajasthan government is committed to providing an inviting environment for international partners.”
