The expatriate Marwari community have become jubilant after Mr. Onkar Singh Lakhawat was appointed as the Chairman of the Heritage Conservation Authority by the Rajasthan Government today.
A senior BJP leader Onkar Singh Lakhawat, eminent social worker, veteran litterateur, is a former Rajya Sabha Member of parliament (MP) and also the founder of of the prestigious Charan Sahitya Research Institute.
Talking to The Travel and Tourism Times, Mr. Hinglaj Dan Ratnoo, Assistant Director of Rajasthan Information Centre and Public Relations Department in Kolkata of Rajasthan Government has informed that today several hundreds of people belonging to the expatraite Marwari Community in the City of Joy have expressed their hapiness and joy and have thanked the new Rajasthan state government for this appointment of Onkar Singh Lakahwat as the Chairman of Heritage Conservation Authority.
Eminent personalities of the migrant Marwari community of Kolkata, including President of Rajasthani Pracharani Sabha and senior litterateur Mr. Ratan Shah, Chairman of Maheshwari Library, Mr. Vishwanath Chandak, senior Rajasthani litterateur Mr. Banshidhar Sharma, senior scholar Mr. Rajendra Kedia, President of Agrabandhu, famous industrialist, social worker, Mr. Prahlad Rai Goenka, President of Sthanakvasi Jain Mahasabha, famous social worker, industrialist Mr. Sardarmal Kankaria, President of Maheshwari Sabha , Mr. Bulaki Das Mimani, senior litterateur and Maheshwari Library’s Mr. Sanjay Binani, Mr. Omprakash Chandak, Mr. Chandratan Rathi, Mr. Rajkumar ji Vyas, Mr. Prakash Mundhanga, senior litterateur Mr. Mahavir Bajaj, Mr. Baldev Purohit, Mr. Sandeep Daga, Mr. Hulasmal Anchalia, Mr. Dhanraj Soni, Mr. Sarveshwar Singh Charan, Mr. Manak Chand Jain, Mr. Manoj Ojha, Mr.Mohan Tewari etc along with and hundreds of eminent personalities of Kolkata resident migrant Marwari community were present on this occasion and have expressed their happiness and joy.
These senior members of Marwari community said that now the remaining work of heritage conservation will be completed unprecedentedly.
For his appointment , the entire migrant Marwari community is grateful to the Rajasthan government. It is known that recently Mr. Onkar Singh Lakhawat had come to Kolkata as the chief guest in the “Meet the Author” program organized at Rajasthan Information Center Kolkata under the joint aegis of Rajasthan Sahitya Academy Udaipur and Rajasthan Information Center Kolkata.
During this event , his felicitation program was also organized in Maheshwari Library.
