EVENT : THE HEART OF INCREDIBLE INDIA ,MADHYA PRADESH TOURISM PARTICIAPES IN TTF KOLKATA 2023, SHOWCASING THE VERSATILE TOURISM OPPORTUNITIES IN THE STATE

Madhya Pradesh has established itself as a ‘Brand’ in the national and international tourism scenario. Apart from being the first choice of the tourists, it is also earning high praises from the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India for the enormous development work being done to extend the tourism facilities in the State. Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board is also keen to encourage the private-sector to invest in the tourism projects, and a dynamic mechanism is being put in place to make Madhya Pradesh an investor-friendly destination.

“Ajadi ka Amrit Mohotsav” brings the news from Madhya Pradesh Tourism, a kaleidoscope of experiences in adventure, heritage, culture and history of incredible India. Tourism Board participated in Travel Tourism Fair in Kolkata from 14 th to 16 th July, 2023 at Biswa Banga Mela Prangan.

In order to deliver sustainable and delightful tourism experience, MPTB has been working relentlessly on shaping the tourism sector by not only providing all the essential services to their tourists but also introducing various thrilling and mesmerising activities in the state. In one such initiative, Madhya Pradesh Tourism (MPT) brought together gram stays, farm stays and homestays as a safe and culturally rich stay options under rural tourism which was also praised on the international stage. The rural tourism is rapidly gaining popularity among travellers and why not? Exploring rural destinations can help to know the traditional roots of a state!

As quoted by the Principal Secretary Tourism and Culture Department, Govt of MP and Managing Director, MP Tourism Board , Mr. Sheo Shekhar Shukla “ These travel trade fairs serve as a great platform for the tourism industry to connect and share ideas with each other.

Every month some or the other events and festivals takes place in the ‘Heart of Incredible India’. We have several fairs where a significant number of tourists came from across the country to participate and witness the vibrant cultures of the state. Tourists can visit the nature centric pollution free destinations and get themselves rejuvenated and relaxed. Madhya Pradesh offers Yoga, Meditation, Panchkarma and  wellness centres for their tourists.

MPTB is working strategically towards getting more domestic and International tourists, promoting new travel circuits in different segments to the tourist exploring heritage, culture, adventure, wildlife, spiritual, rural and wellness destinations. MP Tourism promotes the state as the destination that fits into the frame of experiential activities. Responsible Tourism, Activity filled tourism, Wellness, and Mindful tourism.

Madhya Pradesh offers an assortment of attractions to everyone who loves to travel. It is the state with the forest area approx filled with Sal Trees & Bamboos. It has numerous wildlife hotspots with 11 National parks (Kanha, Bandhavgarh, Panna, Pench, Satpura, Sanjay Dubri, Bhopal, Kuno Palpur) & 24 Wildlife sanctuaries. The UNESCO world heritage sites of Khajuraho, Bhimbetka & Sanchi are the iconic sites in Madhya Pradesh. MP Tourism proudly conducts several mega festivals like Gandhi Sagar Floating Festival, Jal Mahotsav and Mandu Festival. Alongside these popular mega festivals, The Kuno Forest Festival and Chanderi Festival are also set to take place for the first time this year.

In addition to the above services we also offer 64 MPSTDC Hotels and Resorts along with the State which is crowned as the Tiger State of India, Leopard State, Vulture State, Wolf State, Vulture State and  Ghariyal State of India. After the reintroduction of Cheetas after 72 years, MP is now also the Cheetah State of India. MP is not only home to two Jyotirlingas Omkareshwar and Mahakaleshwar. Burhanpur and Bhopal exhibit the Mughal Architecture. Gwalior and Mandu are the some of the beautiful architectural sites, whereas lndrasagar, Gandhi sagar, Tawa and Bargi are the spellbinding water bodies.

Alongside the picturesque beauty, MP is also an exciting choice for the film makers after the introduction of its latest Film Tourism Policy in 2020. The Film facilitation cell works actively for the ease of film making within the state by providing all the necessary support for the film makers from facilitating permissions and helping with subsidies.

MP Tourism was also felicitated with three international awards for its two interesting projects including rural tourism and safe tourism for women at the World Travel Market (WTM). The local community are involved in tourism activities including high-class lodging and boarding facilities, local food, folk music and cultural activities, rural sports, local art and crafts and skill development in the youth. This initiative is not only giving new experiences to tourists but also benefit the local community by generating employment.

These initiatives are the part of Responsible Tourism Mission (RTM) which is being run with an objective of economic development and social development of the local community associated with the tourism sector.
