Tourism minister of Mizoram, Robert Romawia Royte has flagged off the National Integration Tour (NIT) 2023 of Lakhimpur Battalion of Assam Rifles.
This has been organised to promote cultural and national unity in the North eastern Region of India.
Speaking at the Short l ceremony for National Integration Tour participants, Tourism Minister Pu Robert Romawia Royte said that National Integration Tour 2023 has great objectives considering the current and prevailing situation of the country.
He said that the members of the MNJA and the teachers are participating in the tour.
“ Mizoram is famous for beautiful customs and traditions and the tour will be a real pleasure for every participants,” he added.
He also reminded that the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi says that every individual should visit 12 places every year to boost the tourism sector in the country.
He has also urged the participants to share their rich experiences through the social media or any other print or digital media.
Tourism improves both physical and mental health, he said.
The journey started yesterday and will end on 26 th of September. The participants will visit from Mizoram to Assam, Arunachal Pradesh and Meghalaya. All have different landscapes and rich diverse cultures.
The event was attended by Brig. Girish Upadhya, Deputy Inspector General (DIG), 23 Sector Assam Rifles, Col Mukesh Sauhta, Commandant, 2 (Lakhimpur) Battalion, 2 Assam Rifles; MJA Hqrs. Aizawl President Pu C.Lalrambuatsaiha and his colleagues were also present.
