HARYANA, KERALA, PUDUCHERRY BRINGS BACK MASK RULE AS COVID -19 POSITIVE CASES SURGES IN THE COUNTRY

KOLKATA, 9 APRIL 2023:

The three states of Kerala, Haryana and Puducherry brings back masks rule as the covid -19 cases surges in the country. According to the government of India, eight statrs have been reporting most cases of covid – 19 postitive in the country.

More than ten districts are affected in Kerala, Maharashtra and Delhi have about 10 percent positivity while Tamil Nadu, Hatryana, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Himachal Pradesh’s five districts have over 5 percent positivity. Other states and union terrotories are also keeping a tab on the  health situation.

There has been 1801 positive covid -19 cases in Kerala, mostly in the places like Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam and Kottayam districts. Veena George, health minister of Kewrala said that elderly person, seriously ill persons, pregnant women, children, all should wear mandatory face masks.

In Haryana two persons have died, one in Yamuna Nagar and the other in Gurigram. After which the state administration has decided to bring back the face masks wearing mandatory rules.

  1. Vallavan, District collector said that it is manadatory to wear face masks, maintain a safe physical distance and hand hygiene in the union territory of Puducherry.

The mask rules have been relaxed in the country after the covid -19 positivity cases dipped drastically in India.

On Saturday, 6155 new cases in India was detected, while in Sunday it has dipped to 5357 new infections.

While 11 people have died in the past twenty four hours in the country, the total number of active cases in the country are now 32,814.

Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, union health minister of health and family welfare reviewing the current situation in the country, has directed to conduct mock drills in private and governemnt hospitals in the wake of the steady rise of numbers of active covid -19 cases in the country on 10 th and 11 th April.

Most of the countries in the world has lifted the mandatory mask wearing rules and other covid -19 protocols as the cases dipped, but the present rises in cases in India has been a matter of concern as the GDP has started growing upwards, normal  lifestyle has restored back completely  and tourism is back on track after almost two years.
