A pre-bid meeting of stakeholders of adventure tourism sector will be held at Mascot Hotel here on April 22, ahead of starting the tender processes of the works of the Adventure Park and Training Centre at Sasthampara in the district.
The meeting, scheduled at 12 noon, will discuss the details of the project with the stakeholders and interested parties. The project is conceived by the State Tourism Department to ramp up Kerala’s standing as an adventure tourism hub.
The Park is coming up at 4.85 hectares of revenue land at Sasthampara in Vilappilsala Panchayat in Kattakkada taluk. The project, proposed at the Tourism Investors Meet held last year, is the first such venture in India to be developed with public and private sector participation.
The park will have facilities for a wide range adventure activities and training facilities for High Rope Activity, Trekking, ATV ride, Zipline, Rock climbing, Mountain Terrain Biking, Tent camping and Zip cycle. Basic training facilities for adventure activities will also be offered.
The project will be implemented by awarding the works to competent agencies selected through the bidding process. The Tender details are available on the website: www.keralaadventure.org.
