The dates and the venue for the 41st IATO Annual Convention have been finalised. The IATO Annual Convention, which is the most awaited event of the travel and hospitality industry will be held from 10th to 13th September 2026 in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh -celebrated as the “City of Destiny” and the “Jewel of the East Coast”.
This flagship industry event will be hosted with the full support of the Government of Andhra Pradesh. The inaugural function will be held on 10th September 2026 at 4 pm and convention will conclude with dinner on 12th September 2026.
Post the convention, post-convention tours will be organised covering various destinations of Andhra Pradesh from 13th September 2026 onwards. The iconic Novotel Visakhapatnam Varun Beach will serve as the official venue, hosting all major activities including registrations, the inaugural ceremony, business sessions, and vibrant evening programs.
The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, N. Chandrababu Naidu and the Union Minister of Tourism, Government of India, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat are expected to grace the inaugural session on 10th September 2026.
The convention will also witness participation from senior officials of the Ministry of Tourism and representatives from approximately 17–18 State Tourism Departments. The three-day convention will feature high-powered business sessions, bringing together industry leaders, policymakers, and domain experts to deliberate on critical issues shaping the future of tourism. Blending business with engagement, the event will also host a series of vibrant activities, including the “IATO Run for Responsible Tourism,” recognition awards across multiple categories, and spectacular evening entertainment programs.
To add to the celebratory fervour, a lively “IATO’s Got Talent – Karaoke Singing Competition” has been planned. A major highlight of the convention will be the Indian Tourism Fair (Travel Mart), scheduled for 11th and 12th September 2026 at the convention venue. With its strategic focus, strong participation, and rich cultural backdrop, the 41st IATO Annual Convention promises to be a landmark event, reinforcing India’s position as a leading global tourism destination.
